Illumina’s Keith Rego (MS, CIH) told our user conference attendees that illumina’s global EHS program is in the early stages—and SafeTec’s collaboration helps them ensure that EHS supports Illumina’s mission instead of slowing it down.
Founded in 2000, Illumina aims “to improve human health by unlocking the power of the genome.” Their genotyping systems have applications in agriculture, forensics, genetics, and various healthcare sectors. This company is moving fast, and SafeTec is helping Keith’s EHS team to build solutions that can grow with the company.
“SafeTec is allowing our troubleshooters to do their primary work instead of writing SDSs,” Keith noted. “Their systems are also helping us maximize SDS data, so we can make decisions proactively, not just reference SDSs for emergencies, archiving and compliance.”
