MillerCoors EHS pro Laci Ruhl gave fellow SafeTec customers a peek into how the second-largest beer company in America improves chemical management, inventory, and approval with SafeTec systems.
Overall, MillerCoors is progressing towards “simpler, safer, sustainable chemical management to help us prioritize resources, reduce costs, and decrease the failure rate [incomplete MSDS requests],’ says Laci. The on-site inventory tool alone returns great efficiencies; workers simply scan a chemical’s barcode and the information automatically uploads to the MSDS library. If there is no existing MSDS for the chemical, the SafeTec software prompts the user to create one. According to Laci, the process “would take a year to do, otherwise.”
